Why Did Jesus Come?
- To reveal God to humanity

- Jesus’ death and resurrection are understood as God’s way of offering forgiveness and reconciliation.

- To proclaim the Kingdom of God
- A central theme of Jesus’ teaching was that God’s reign was breaking into the world.
- He called people to repentance, faith, justice, mercy, and love.
- To give his life as a sacrifice
- Jesus taught that his death would serve a redemptive purpose.
- “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).
- To defeat death and offer eternal life
- Christians believe Jesus’ resurrection conquered death and opened the way to eternal life for those who trust in him.
